BULLHEAD CITY, ARIZONA LOCATED IN THE MOJAVE DESERT

Bullhead City is located on the border of California, Nevada and Arizona in the Mojave Desert, on the Colorado River. Because of its location Bullhead City has little rainfall. Its surroundings offer many outdoor activites.

Mojave Desert

This is a map of the Mojave Desert. Bullhead City as you can see from the map above is located in the upper eastern part of the desert.

The Mojave Desert is referred to as the High Desert. It takes up a great deal of California, parts of Arizona, Utah and Nevada. The rain clouds in the above picture are rare to see considering the Mojave Desert only sees about 10 inches of rain per year.

The Mojave Desert is quite sparse in urban development but recently has been growing. Las Vegas is the largest city in the Mojave. Smaller cities include Laughlin and Bullhead City.

The Black and Newberry Mountains offer a beautiful backdrop for Bullhead Ctiy.

The Colorado River Valley and Lake Mojave are major attractions in Bullhead City. With the fast moving Colorado river it attracts many adventurous people. They are also host to many camping and RV parks. Lake Mojave stretches 68 miles from end to end and has many coves, campsites and some of the best fishing in the southwest.

Bullhead City is known for its striking scenic beauty. It is surrounded by parks and wildlife refuges. It is a place where you can experience the best of both worlds. One minute you are in the scenic desert the next you are in a lit up gambling city.

This is Laughlin, Nevada. It is located right across the river from Bullhead City. It is open 24-7 and attracts many people. Many people that visit Bullhead take the short trip right accross the river to Laughlin.
