Orick, California is surrounded by Redwood National Park, lagoons, and the Pacific Ocean. U.S. Route 101, also known as Redwood Highway, goes through Orick and takes you to the ocean shore.
Orick is an unincorporated (not part of any municipality) town, which is which is located in Humboldt County. In the winter months lows may reach in the 30’s with highs in the 50’s and in the summer months the highs only reach into the 60’s.

Horseback riding, mountain biking, kayaking, and camping are the most popular outdoor activities that people who visit Orick participate in.

The town of Orick is 285 acres of land, with Redwood Creek going down the middle of it.

Throughout Redwood National Park you will find Coastal Redwood trees which are the tallest and largest trees on earth, the tallest being recorded at 379.1 feet in 2006.

Orick has an annual rodeo since 1947, with children able to participate as well. From the Orick rodeo grounds you can travel by horseback through Redwood National Park.
